Tom King is West Virginia's premier family entertainer with skills in the arts of clowning, comedy magic, balloon sculpturing and stilt walking. He is the author of the book Clown Soup and The Harder You Work The Luckier You Get! He has been published in the Funny Paper, The New Calliope, Clowning Around, Circus Magic E-Mag and Big Top entertainment publications.

Tom has entertained and lectured throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeastern United States and Canada, in addition to entertaining at private and public functions. He also has performed at the West Virginia Governors Mansion, TAMARACK known as a center for displaying the talents of West Virginia's finest artsists and craftsmen, the Clay Center, Charleston West Virginia's Culture & Arts Center and Point Pleasants' Historic State Theater.

Tom has appeared as a guest performer with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. Tom also performed for the lighting of the National Christmas Tree at the White House three times.

Tom presents shows for elementary schools, preschools, librarys, seasonal programs and his Summer Time - Fun Time Show. He also does Health and Humor Therapeutic programs for hospitals and nursing programs.

Tom works as an instructor at conventions and workshops for a variety of artists, magicians and clowns. He operates Clown Boot Camp, is the director of the Mountain State Variety Arts Workshop and is the co-director of Clown Jubilee and Family Entertainment Workshops. Tom is also officially certified by West Virginia Board of Education as an Entertainment Arts Instructor.

Tom is Vice President of Clowns of America International Mideast Region, is a member of world Clown Association, the Kanawha Klowns, the Southeast Clown Association, the Texas Clown Association, the Crescent City Clowns and The Association for Applied Therapeutic Humor. He is also a member of and sits on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Clown Association.
Tom received the Bo-Dino Memorial Scholarship from the World Clown Association to attend Clown Camp at the University of Wisconsin. He has attended and taught at numerous other workshops and schools for family entertainers.

Tom performs regularly for Marshall University and West Virginia State University. He also performs for the Kanawha County Board of Education, Ashland Kentucky's Town Center Mall, West Virginia Library Association, Museums in the Community, Star USA Credit Union, West Virginia Lung Association, West Virginia Power minor league baseball team, the West Virginia State Parks and many other venues.

Tom is an International award winner in the areas of makeup, costume and performance. He brings years of experience and the ability to entertain persons of all ages at any event.
